Svetlana is a busy mum of three living in Horgen. She takes pride in being actively involved in her children’s lives and making them her absolute priority. She realised however it was time to revert some attention to herself. A vegetarian, she had always been careful about her diet, and despite a very active lifestyle, she found herself unable to lose the weight she had gained following the birth of her youngest child. While sceptical at first, Svetlana is now probably one of Metabolic Balance’s most vocal supporters – in her own words, it has changed her life!

What made you try Metabolic Balance®?

I was sick of being constantly tired and extremely overweight after the birth of my 3rd child. Doing the regular sport activities had zero effect on my weight. I follow a mostly vegetarian diet with the occasional fish and seafood, and although I felt my diet wasn’t necessarily unhealthy, the blood test results were an eye opener.  Something had to change.

How did you feel before Metabolic Balance®?

Tired and needed a nap almost every day - at least this is how I felt. I was also annoyed by the way I looked, which affected my confidence.

How did you find the programme?

It has changed my life! I have much more energy now. I have lost 12 kilos and feel much better about myself. The programme teaches you how to be more disciplined about what and how often you eat. It's also important for me that I have this programme for life and can refer to my plan when I feel like it.

What is the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance®?

The first two weeks were a bit difficult as my body was craving sugar and snacks. After the first two weeks though, the cravings improved and it became easier to keep to the breaks and eventually, it becomes your new life. I no longer feel hungry in between meals. I am able to enjoy treats like wine and chocolate without feeling any guilt or worry I might gain the weight back. I am much better at listening to my body’s signals. I’ve learned that it is possible to eat foods that make me happy and still keep the weight off.
