Dorin is a Human Resources Business Partner for a world-renowned organisation. He is also an ultra-distance cyclist. What made you try Metabolic Balance®?

I am an ultra-endurance cyclist, cycling an average of 1k km per month, so a lack of activity was not my problem. I was nonetheless carrying pretty amount of excess weight, and this was affecting my performance during climbs.

How did you feel before Metabolic Balance®?

I felt good, but aware of the fact that my weight had crept up and that I needed to do something about it if I was to progress with my cycling.

How did you find the programme?

I found the programme quite strict to begin with, and worried about how I would cope with my demanding training schedule in such a restrictive and low-calorie plan. Viviane assured me that we could work around it. She only asked me to be strict and avoid riding long distances for the first two weeks as my body adjusted to the new way of eating. After this, she made adjustments to my plan so that I could eat more calories when I was training. I, on the other hand, adjusted to a life with much less sugar, my main source of energy prior to starting the plan. I feel healthier, more energetic, and lean for it.

What is the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance®?

I lost 15 kilos since starting the plan in October 20. The difference it’s made to my cycling cannot be underestimated. I can say I have completely overhauled the way I eat – for the better. The biggest positive for me though has got to be that I can still enjoy everything I used to before. Juicy steaks, wine, chocolate – I haven’t had to give up anything.
